Butcher Block Student Work Benches
Wood Welded Bolsters have been a staple of the industrial arts department of schools for many years. This block is manufactured with durability in mind. Featuring our patented Wood Welded process this block already has loads of built in strength. But we take it a step further and produce the block with threaded through bolts. This combination of Northern Hard Maple, modern glue technology and hardened steel rods combine to make a bench that will last through years of student use.
Here you see a close up picture of the of the end of the through bolt. These bolts pass completely through the top and are secured with a bolt at each end. Often called "student workbenches" these tops come in 3 standard sizes. The 2 1/4" thickness gives the block the mass needed to handle any school project imaginable. The top edge of the bench has a 3/16" radius for comfort and added durability and the blocks are finished in Durakryl 102.
